Outfit Diary: Angie Uh
Get to know Angie Uh, personal stylist and wardrobe consultant at The Found Style
Hi friends,
How was your week? The Bay Area gave us a handful of gorgeously warm sunny days, which felt like such a treat! I took full advantage by spending some quality time outdoors with the pup, who had the best time discovering (and thoroughly investigating) all the wildflowers popping up in our neighborhood.

We’re back with a new Outfit Diary feature, and I’m excited to introduce you to
— personal stylist, wardrobe consultant at The Found Style, and the writer behind The Found Journal, her best-selling weekly newsletter filled with practical style advice and fashion insider insights.I’ve known Angie since we worked together at a retail tech startup in San Francisco back in the early 2010s. We randomly reconnected online last year (cue the “Ariana, what are you doing here?!” moment), and found ourselves in the same boat — both trying to figure out how to build something meaningful in the online fashion space without really knowing what we were doing.
It’s always a bit nerve-wracking putting yourself out there, so finding someone familiar going through the same thing feels like such a comfort. There’s something genuinely reassuring about having a friendly face in your corner who gets it.
I’ve always admired how Angie puts outfits together — she has mastered the art of making everyday clothes look interesting and fresh through her intuitive sense of style. What I really appreciate about her approach is how she encourages people to work with what they already own before buying something new — a perspective we could all use more of these days.

I help women throughout various points of their unique style journey from those who are discovering their style for the first time, refining it, or evolving it to reflect the authenticity of who they are today. Prior to this, I spent the majority of my career in the merchandising, design, and product development space. I have always had styling in the back of mind so I spent a lot of years assisting brand and commercial shoots on the side whenever I had free time. I’ve always been, and love being, a behind-the-scenes gal!
I’ve played around with my style so much in the past but at the core, my style language has always been Modern, Lived-In, and Unexpected. Modern in the sense that I like to continue to push myself to evolve my styling in new ways — it can even be how I cuff a jean that can make it feel new to me. I love a relaxed, washed down, worn-in feel to my clothes. The best clothes are the ones that are lived-in! It’s unexpected in that I always need something that feels a bit interesting and different in my outfits whether that’s a statement piece, high-low, or juxtaposition.
Angie’s Outfit Diary
What she wore: Mom’s vintage leather jacket, The Row silk dress, Aritzia cashmere scarf, Jil Sander heel, Proenza bag (similar), Zara cuffs (similar)
Where she wore it: In-person client session
Thoughts behind the look: As soon as the weather hit above 50 degrees, this was the outfit I wanted to put on. It felt a bit flat so I added a cashmere scarf to add some texture and took it off and threw over my shoulders later in the day. I probably should have worn tights or boots but I planned to be in my car and indoors most of the day so I persevered!
What she wore: The Curated trench, Donni Tee, Donni stripe button down, AYR Deep End, Pistola Lexi jeans, Anonymous Copenhagen loafers; not pictured — J.Crew Berkeley bag
Where she wore it: Heading out for a road trip to the Hudson Valley for the week so for the car and hopping around town.
Thoughts behind the look: I loved this purple stripe as I’ve been really craving a bit more color. It reminds me of the kind of vintage shirt I always am looking for but can never find. Winter was so snowy and dreary where I live so I’m ready to embrace fun, energetic color. The package came just in time as the sun finally came out so I immediately took the tags off and wore it! These are hands down my most worn jeans. I’ve been wearing them more days than not for the past couple of years to the point that I have to force myself to choose a different jean sometimes!
What she wore: Sportsmax Blazer , old Beare Park silk top, very old Zara jeans, Toteme boots, All Saints clutch, Dorsey studs
Where she wore it: Dinner with friends upstate
Thoughts behind the look: Upstate is very casual but I naturally feel more comfortable being a bit dressed up so I felt very “me” in this. These earrings were on my wishlist forever – I love the subtle impact they make to a more simple outfit. I meant to pack my black lace bra so I would have changed my bra (!)
What she wore: Massimo Dutti blazer (old), Leset tee, Pistola Lexi jeans, Khaite belt (suede version here), old Cèline heels (it’s this version), old Cèline bag
Where she wore it: Another in-person client session
Thoughts behind the look: This typically is my go-to outfit if I’m doing any in-person sessions. Let’s be real - a white tee, jeans, and outerwear is what I wear 90% of the time! I am more creative and fun with my clothes in other areas of my life but when I’m moving around a lot, I just need to feel polished but comfortable. I think there’s a superpower in wearing a uniform you feel comfortable and confident in. These are my most worn heels. I’ve owned two pairs for the past 8 years and still get so much wear out of them.
What she wore: Cotton slip dress from Portugal, secondhand Loulou Studio/Saison shearling jacket, old Ganni rain boots
Where she wore it: A lazy Sunday at home and around town
Thoughts behind the look: Days when I just need to chill and I don’t have plans, client calls, or content to create, I’m in an outfit like this. Or pajamas. I wear the slip to bed sometimes but also as a sundress in the Summer. In this instance they were pajamas and I paired it with my coat, which I quite liked! The boots are a practical choice as we were walking down to the lake as it had recently thawed.
What she wore: very old H&M jeans (similar — I just got these to replace mine and I love!), old Target tank, old pashmina, Toteme boots, Jujuvera necklace
Where she wore it: Dinner date
Thoughts behind the look: I created this outfit while doing a play session in my closet but I loved it so much I wore it to dinner the next night. I don’t know what it is but I’m just drawn to the shape and soft draping of the shawl styled as a little cape. I’m excited to style it like this over a silk slip dress, barely there sandals, and loads of jewelry in the Summer.
What she wore: Kallmeyer shirt, old Zara jeans, Sperry shoes , Dorsey necklace
Where she wore it: WFH day
Thoughts behind the look: I WFH for myself so I really need my clothes to help me feel ready to tackle the day and be productive. My outfit formula for WFH days when I have virtual client sessions is: something a bit more polished up top (blazer, jacket, shirt) + casual bottom + shoe choice will depend on my mood. I put this on and felt great!! I feel like it just embodied my style language really well so it was an unexpected happy surprise.
My most worn old Cèline leather and suede Cabas, Cuyana organizer insert, Cuyana croc pouch that has my keys, small mirror, lint roller, tide pen, and gum, Macbook, planner, Water bottle, Mini goyard green wallet case, Next Memory Blue Sandalwood mini perfume (if you are a Santal 33 fan but want something more unique, this is it!), Officine Universelle Buly lip balm, Retrosuperfuture sunglasses and Celine sunglasses (I always have 2-3 sunglasses in my purse!), monogram leather measuring tape.
